What is Skoci POS and what kind of business is it for?

Skoci POS is a point-of-sale app for small and medium businesses in Indonesia. It has three parts: a backoffice in your browser for managing products, stock, and reports; a cashier app for Android phones and tablets; and a self-ordering page customers open by scanning a QR code on their table. It suits coffee shops, restaurants, cafés, bakeries, retail stores, beverage shops, and laundries.

How much does Skoci POS cost?

There are three plans. Free: Rp 0 for 1 store. Pro: Rp 99,000 per month or Rp 948,000 per year for up to 3 stores. Business: Rp 299,000 per month or Rp 2,988,000 per year for unlimited stores. Paying yearly saves two months compared with monthly.

What is included in the Free plan?

Almost everything. The Free plan covers the cashier app, a product catalogue with variants and option groups, full inventory including purchase orders and stocktakes, every report, multi-user access with roles and permissions, QRIS payments, shift management, promotions and discounts, and QR table ordering. The limit is one store.

Which features require a paid plan?

Accepted Answer

Only two groups: Customer Loyalty (points and membership tiers) and WhatsApp Broadcast. Both require the Pro or Business plan. Beyond that, paid plans increase how many stores you can run.

Is there a long-term commitment?

Accepted Answer

No. You can stop subscribing at any time. If you do, your account and data are not deleted — you return to the Free plan's limits, and stores beyond the quota become read-only until you subscribe again.

Do I need technical knowledge to use it?

No. If you are comfortable using apps on a phone, you have enough. What takes the most time at the start is not technical at all — it is entering your product data. The Guides section walks through every step of the process.

How do I sign up?

Open the backoffice sign-up page and fill in your full name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, and a password of at least 8 characters. You then receive an OTP code on that number to verify, after which you can sign in.

The OTP code never arrived — what went wrong?

The most common cause is the number format. It must start with 628, not 08. So 0812-3456-7890 is written as 6281234567890. If the format is right and the code still does not arrive, request a new one.

What is the difference between a business and a store?

Accepted Answer

The business is the umbrella and the store is a branch under it. If you have a single location, you still create one business with one store inside it. With several branches, they all sit under the same business so their reports can be viewed together.

How many stores can I manage?

Free covers 1 store, Pro up to 3, and Business unlimited. All stores are managed from the same single account.

What happens if I downgrade while running several stores?

Stores and their data are not deleted. Stores beyond the new plan's quota become read-only — their data is still visible but cannot be used for transactions, and a warning appears saying some stores are inactive. You choose which stores stay active under Settings then Manage Active Stores.

What device does the cashier need?

An Android phone or tablet. For small shops an ordinary Android phone is enough — there is no need to buy a tablet. For busy cafés and restaurants a tablet is more comfortable, because the product buttons are larger and there are fewer mistaken taps.

Where do I download the cashier app?

On the Google Play Store, search for Skoci POS. Sign in with the same account you use for the backoffice, then choose which store that device will serve.

What is a shift and why must it be opened?

A shift is one working period for one cashier. Every transaction is recorded under the running shift, so it has to be open before your first customer. When opening a shift you enter the cashier's name, the register or terminal name, and how much cash is in the drawer as the opening float.

What is the Z-Report and cash reconciliation?

The Z-Report is a summary of the whole shift, shown when you close it. It includes cash reconciliation: the system shows what should be in the drawer, you enter what is actually there, and the difference is calculated for you. Ideally it is zero. The Z-Report can be printed.

Can one bill be paid separately by several people?

Yes, using Split Bill. One bill is divided into parts, and each part is paid on its own with its own payment method.

How do I process a refund?

Open the relevant bill, tick which items are being returned, set the refunded quantity, enter a reason, then confirm. Refunds can be partial rather than for the whole bill. Note that a refund cannot be undone once confirmed.

What is the difference between a variant and an option group?

A variant is a version of a product sold separately with its own stock, such as Regular and Large. An option group is an adjustment to the same product and carries no stock of its own, such as sugar level or an extra shot. If stock needs counting separately, it is a variant.

Can prices differ between dine-in and takeaway?

Yes, using Sales Types. You create the sales type under the Catalogue menu, then set a specific price per sales type on each product variant.

Why has my stock not gone up after creating a purchase order?

Because what raises stock is Goods Receiving, not the purchase order. A PO is only the order document sent to your supplier. Once the goods arrive, record the receipt under Purchasing then Goods Receiving — that is where stock increases.

What is a stocktake and how often should I do one?

A stocktake means physically counting your goods and comparing that against the system's record. The difference is logged and visible in the Stocktake Variance report. Schedule them regularly, for example at the end of every month, rather than only when something feels off — regular counts keep differences small and traceable.

How do I move stock between branches?

Through Inventory then Stock Transfer. Stock drops at the origin store and rises at the destination, and the movement is recorded so it can be traced later in the Inter-Outlet Transfers report.

Cash, debit and credit cards, e-wallets, bank transfer, and QRIS. You choose which ones your store uses under Settings then Payment Methods.

How do I withdraw money from digital sales?

Through the Balance & Withdrawals menu. Before your first withdrawal your bank account must be verified once by uploading a photo of your national ID along with your bank details. Once verified, you request a cashout and the system shows the admin fee and the net amount you will receive.

My bank verification was rejected — what now?

There is a resubmit button on the Balance & Withdrawals page. Check that the ID photo is clear and that the account holder's name matches the details submitted, then try again. ID photos are accepted as JPG or PNG at up to 5MB.

What if a customer pays later?

Use the Sales then Invoices & Receivables menu. Each invoice carries a status ranging from Draft, Sent, Viewed, Partially Paid, and Paid through to Overdue. For partially paid invoices the amount already received is shown directly in the list.

How do loyalty points work?

You decide how much spending earns one point under Settings then Customer Loyalty. Entering 10000 means every Rp 10,000 spent earns 1 point. Points are redeemed at the register against the amount due. This feature requires the Pro or Business plan.

Yes, and you decide. There is a point validity setting measured in months. Enter 0 if you never want points to expire.

Tiers are membership levels with different benefits. Each tier has a name, a minimum points-per-year threshold, and a discount percentage its members automatically receive. A simple structure might be Silver from 100 points at 5 percent off and Gold from 500 points at 10 percent off.

When will WhatsApp Broadcast be available?

The feature is built but not yet opened to all merchants, and on this site it is still marked Coming Soon. When it arrives it will require the Pro or Business plan. The customer data you collect now is exactly what it will run on.

How do I switch on QR table ordering?

Open Settings then Tables, add your tables, then download each table's QR code and print it for the matching table. Until at least one table has been added, QR ordering stays switched off.

Does the customer have to install an app?

No. It all runs in the customer's phone browser. They scan the QR code, then either sign in with Google or choose to continue as a guest without signing in at all.

How does a customer's order reach the cashier?

Orders arrive on the Table Orders screen in the cashier app, showing the table name, the customer's name if given, and the items with their variants and notes. The cashier chooses Accept or Reject. The status page on the customer's phone refreshes itself and shows a notice if the order was rejected.

Why can't the cashier accept a customer's order?

The most common cause is that no shift is open. A message appears asking you to open a shift before accepting orders. Open the shift and the order can be processed as normal.

Does the app keep working when the internet is down?

Yes. Transactions are stored on the device and sent to the server automatically once the connection returns. Sync status is visible on the register screen. If any change still fails to send, the list can be opened under Settings then Failed Syncs, each with a retry button.

Is my data secure?

Data is stored on the server and synced automatically from every device, so it does not depend on any single phone. Each team member's access is limited through Roles & Permissions: a person only sees the menus they have read permission for.

AI credits are bought separately from your subscription and are used by three features. The daily business summary on the dashboard costs 1 credit, the recipe and COGS generator costs 2 credits, and auto-filling a product from a photo costs 3 credits.
