Overview

This guide is for anyone setting up Skoci POS for the first time. By the end, your store is registered, your team can sign in, and the cashier app is installed on a phone.

There are two things you will use, and both share the same account:

  • Backoffice — opened in a browser on a computer or phone. This is where you manage products, prices, stock, and reports.
  • The Skoci POS app — installed on an Android phone or tablet. This is what your cashier uses to serve customers.

Work through this guide on a computer or laptop. Typing product data and store addresses is far faster with a keyboard, and you only have to do it once.

Creating Your Account

Open the backoffice sign-up page. You will see the heading Buat akun baru with a section called Informasi Akun.

  1. Fill in Nama Lengkap with your own name, not your shop's name. For example: Budi Santoso.
  2. Fill in Email. This address is what you sign in with and where notifications go.
  3. Fill in No. HP / WhatsApp. This number receives your verification code.
  4. Create a Password of at least 8 characters, then retype it in Ulangi password.
  5. Submit the form. You will be taken straight to the verification screen.

The phone number must use the 628 format, not 08. So 0812-3456-7890 is written as 6281234567890. Written with a leading zero, the verification code will never arrive.

Verifying Your Number

After signing up, the screen moves to Verifikasi OTP. An OTP is a one-time numeric code sent to your phone.

  1. Open your messages and find the code that just arrived.
  2. Type that code into the verification screen.
  3. Once it is accepted you return to the sign-in page. Log in with the email and password you just created.

If the code never arrives, first check that the number you typed is correct and uses the 628 format. If it is correct, request a new code.

Understanding Businesses and Stores

This is the part that confuses people most at the start, so let's take it slowly.

  • A business is the umbrella. Usually one business equals one company, for example "Kopi Rakyat".
  • A store is a branch or outlet under that business. For example "Kopi Rakyat Depok" and "Kopi Rakyat Bogor".

If you only have one location, you still create one business with one store inside it. That is normal.

How many stores you may have depends on your plan:

PlanStoresPrice
Free1 storeRp 0
ProUp to 3 storesRp 99,000/month or Rp 948,000/year
BusinessUnlimitedRp 299,000/month or Rp 2,988,000/year

Paying yearly saves you two months compared with paying monthly.

Registering Your Business and Store

  1. In the backoffice, open Pengaturan → Bisnis & Toko (Settings → Business & Stores).
  2. If no business exists yet, you will see Belum ada bisnis terdaftar — no business registered. Add your first business.
  3. Once the business is saved, add a store under it. Fill in Nama Toko (store name) and Alamat (address).
  4. Repeat for other branches if your plan allows them.

If you ever end up with more stores than your plan covers, open Pengaturan → Kelola Toko Aktif to choose which stores stay active.

Setting Up Payment Methods

Open Pengaturan → Metode Pembayaran and switch on the payment types you actually accept: cash, debit and credit cards, e-wallets, bank transfer, and QRIS.

Only enable what you really use. The fewer options on the register screen, the faster your cashier closes a sale when there is a queue.

Inviting Your Team

If you are not working the register alone, add your team.

  1. Open Pengaturan → Manajemen Tim (Settings → Team Management).
  2. Add a member using their email or phone number. Same format as before, for example 6281234567890.
  3. Pick a role for them, then pick a Store — which store they may access.
  4. They receive an invitation and set their own password.

In the member list, the Status column shows who has accepted their invitation and who has not. People who have left can be deactivated rather than deleted, so their transaction history stays intact.

Setting Permissions

Open Pengaturan → Role & Permission. This is where you decide who can see and change what.

The table lists Fitur (features) down the left, and for each one you grant read, write, and delete permission. The rule is simple: a person only sees the menus they have read permission for. A cashier without read permission on Reports will not see the Reports menu at all.

Set roles up before the first shift starts. If a cashier signs in and their menu looks empty, the cause is almost always a missing permission — not a broken app.

Installing the Cashier App

  1. On an Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store.
  2. Search for Skoci POS and install it.
  3. Open the app and sign in with the same account you use for the backoffice.
  4. Choose which store that device will serve.

For a small shop, an ordinary Android phone is enough — there is no need to buy a tablet. For busy cafés and restaurants a tablet is more comfortable, because the product buttons are larger and there are fewer mistaken taps.
